Pacific Grove Retreat

This home was due for a major renovation but the plan was to live in it for a while before taking on any major construction. The task therefore was to decorate on a shoestring.
Everything was painted white and pops of color were achieved from thrift store finds and inexpensive colorful bedding. Frames, lamps, beds and tables were spray painted to give new life.

The goal for this vacation home was to make it comfortable for any number of guests. The decision was made to incorporate extra long twin beds in both of the guest bedrooms so that they could be used individually by visiting singles or combined to make a king bed for couples.

A thrift store bed was spray painted black to create visual interest in the otherwise white bedroom.

The main bedroom had for closets, two in the main bedroom and two in a walk through space. The decision to make the walk through space into a small office adding a window created a bright space with great natural light.

Comfortable seating for a crowd was the priority for this space. Club chairs on wheels create the opportunity to swivel and enjoy the view.

Local posters add color and interests to this space which also features a vintage library table for dining.

A comfortable chair for reading.

Adding a small table to the living room creates a space for puzzles, intimate dining, or games. If there is space, I always like to see a table in the living room.
